Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all Excelsis Learning’s services, individual and group lessons, activities and events given and offered to pupils, applied for and consented to by the parent or  guardian (referred to hereinafter as "pupil"). They provide useful information regarding to the organisation of lessons and expectations; therefore parents/ guardians are strongly advised to read and keep them in a safe place. Changes to these terms and conditions require the written consent of Excelsis Learning.  Excelsis Learning reserves the right to update, amend or change policies, procedures and all information at any time without prior notice.

 

CLASSES

  • All classes take place at the premises of Excelsis Learning or other venues the school might choose.

  • Class Structure: We offer weekly 2-hour sessions delivered as one continuous block with a short break (e.g., two 55-minute lesson segments plus a 10-minute pause).

  • Pupils and their families are expected to respect the facilities and materials located within the school premises or any other teaching venues.

  • Pupils are expected to arrive on time to their classes. 

  • Parents or carers of pupils under the age of 18 are required to pick up their child(ren) on time at the  end of each lesson.

  • For pupils under the age of 18 who attend more than one activity on the same day where a gap occurs in between lessons, parents or carers are required to remain on site to accompany their minor(s). Excelsis Learning accepts no responsibility to look after any children who are left alone on the premises when they are not attending lessons. 

  • Pupils are expected to revise and complete homework regularly as advised by their teacher(s).

  • Class sizes are determined at the discretion of the Principal.

  • Parents/ guardians are advised to visit Excelsis Learning website www.excelsislearning.co.uk and our Facebook Page ‘Excelsis Learning’ regularly for updates of events and activities.

  • Excelsis Learning reserves the right to exclude pupils from lessons at its discretion if they fail to show commitment towards learning and revision. Persistent unwillingness of pupils to participate in classes and continuous misbehaviour in classes and/or failure to comply with the school’s terms and conditions may result in the school terminating lessons and no refund of paid fees will be applicable.

 

FEES & PAYMENTS

  • Class fees are charged on half-termly basis by direct debit only, payable one month in advance.  Further details of the payment plan will be sent via email once registration is approved.

  • No other forms of payment are accepted. All matters regarding fees, payments and class booking are to be dealt with by the school office.

  • Failure to pay class fees on time may result in attendance to classes being suspended without prior notice.

  • Excelsis Learning offers 39 weeks of lessons during school term time. Term dates are published at the beginning of every academic year but are subject to change, without notice.

  • Pupils may request extra online lessons during school holidays where additional tuition fees are applicable.

  • Class Fees are reviewed annually.

 

CANCELLATION/ MISSED LESSONS

  • Any classes missed by the pupil will be considered dismissed and no refunds will be made.

  • If a class is cancelled by Excelsis Learning, the school will either offer a class at another time or offer a refund.

 

TERMINATION OF LESSONS

  • Should you wish to terminate lessons, six weeks notice must be given to The Principal in writing or email to info@excelsislearning.co.uk .

 

GENERAL

  • A copy of Excelsis Learning’s Terms & Conditions can be requested at any time.

  • Excelsis Learning reserves the right to make changes to the timetable and to the teaching staff.

  • Pupils participate at their own risk and are obliged to inform Excelsis Learning and its staff of any existing injuries or medical condition.

  • Pupils are obliged to take care of their own belongings. Excelsis Learning can accept no liability for lost or damaged belongings.

  • The liability of Excelsis Learning and that of its staff is restricted to lesson time only and then only to gross negligence. Excelsis Learning shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage howsoever caused. This does not affect our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence nor our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter, nor any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

  • Excelsis Learning will only use the personal information you provide to us for the provision of teaching services or to inform you about similar services which we provide that you have consented to receiving. Excelsis Learning will not pass your data to third parties. Excelsis Learning’s Privacy Statement is available on request.

  • A person who is not party to these Terms shall not have any rights under or in connection with them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

  • These terms shall be governed by English law and you and Excelsis Learning both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
